One of our community bike officers brought a young boy through the station for a tour yesterday. A few weeks ago he went to the hospital with a sore stomach and his family quickly learned that he was suffering from Leukemia. The prognosis is good, but treatment is tough and lasts two full year. He is currently being home schooled (mom is a teacher) and his parents are always looking for extra activities to keep him engaged and positive.

The boy has been attending Sick Kids weekly for Chemotherapy treatment. Yesterday he was treated at 8 am and Officers Gave Knock and Paul Gribbon arranged for a Station Tour.

I met him and this kid is tough and a fighter, if anyone will survive treatment we all believe it will be him!! While at the station we gifted the boy with one of your back packs and bike. To say this made his year is a gross understatement.

I wanted to personally thank you for your generosity and all that you are doing for the community, the impact is immeasurable.
