Every year, The Children’s Breakfast Clubs host a Winter Coat Drive in support of children and families who do not have adequate winter clothing. We believe it is crucial that children have access to warm winter clothing so that they can enjoy the outdoors during frigid weather and remain healthy and safe. Children who are not dressed appropriately for the winter season are often more susceptible to illness which can result in them missing school. It is our goal to ensure that no child in Ontario is cold this Winter season.

Our 5th annual Coat Drive kicked off in October 2019 and will be running until March 6, 2020. Last year we successfully collected over 50,000 coats for children and families in need throughout Southern Ontario. This year, we are very close to achieving our target of 70,000 coats. With only a few weeks left, we encourage you to please donate and help us keep families warm this winter!

How it Works:

During the winter season, our community partners, emergency services, social agencies and schools hand out coat vouchers to families and individuals in urgent need of warm winter clothing. Each family member is invited to drop by one of our three coat store locations and choose a suitable coat for themselves. Our kind and dedicated volunteers are present at the coat store locations to assist families with selecting warm coats and to ensure that they feel comfortable and content.

Our Coat Drive would also not be possible without the generous support from our amazing partners, sponsors and friends including:
