Celebrating Bright Futures: The Children’s Breakfast Clubs Scholarship Awards Ceremony 2026
On Friday, October 23, 2026, The Children’s Breakfast Clubs proudly celebrated 24 outstanding student scholarship recipients at our annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony. The special evening brought together students, families, educators, volunteers and community leaders to recognize the students’ hard work, dedication and accomplishments, while encouraging them to continue pursuing their educational goals and dreams.
These scholarships were made possible through the generosity of our anonymous donors, whose contributions help create opportunities for our students to pursue higher education and work toward a brighter future. This year, we were also proud to introduce the Persad Family Scholarship, awarded to a deserving student in recognition of their hard work and perseverance.
The evening also honoured eight longstanding TCBC volunteers who recently received the Ontario Volunteer Service Award, recognizing their dedication and lasting contributions to our community. Congratulations to Lino Murarotto, Cintra Persad, Alecia Charny, Bharat Persad, Annette Kingsley, Susan Bury, Howard Bury and Naomi Titleman Colla. We are proud to celebrate their commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and youth.
Special guests Sophia Leila Kaci and Victoria Rinaldi, exceptional graduates from Father Bressani Catholic High School who achieved 100% academic averages, inspired attendees with their outstanding accomplishments. Gordon Martineau served as a captivating master of ceremonies, and Samantha Kim delighted guests with a special musical performance.
Our sincere thanks go to our event sponsor, The Royal Sonesta Hotel, for providing a wonderful venue, delicious food and beverages, and exceptional hospitality. Their generosity helped make the evening a memorable celebration for our students, families and guests.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our valued sponsors and community partners for helping make this celebration possible:

- Peel Regional Police
- York Regional Police
- Toronto Fire Services
- Toronto Paramedic Services

The Scholarship Awards Ceremony was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to encourage young people and invest in their future. Every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams, and we are proud to celebrate these 24 students as they take their next steps toward a bright future.
