TCBC Backpack Giveaway 2026

The Children’s Breakfast Clubs (TCBC) Backpack Giveaway is an annual community initiative that helps children and families across Southern Ontario prepare for the school year. Each year, we provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies and hygiene items, helping students start the year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn.

In 2025, we distributed more than 2,000 backpacks, our largest giveaway to date. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and community partners, thousands of students received the tools they needed for a successful start to the school year.

Our Record-Breaking Goal for 2026

This year, we are aiming to make an even greater impact. Our goal is to distribute a record-breaking 4,000 backpacks in August 2026, making this the largest TCBC Backpack Giveaway ever and allowing us to reach twice as many children and families as last year. 

As many families continue to face financial pressures and rising back-to-school costs, the demand for this support continues to grow throughout our communities. For many children, a new backpack represents more than just school supplies; it provides a sense of pride, dignity, and excitement for the school year ahead.

 

How You Can Help

We invite you to support our Backpack Giveaway in the following ways:

• Financial Contributions
  Assist with the purchase of backpacks and essential school supplies. 
• School Supplies
  Donations of school supplies, including notebooks, binders, folders, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil cases, and calculators 
• Hygiene Products
  Donations of hygiene products, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, body soap, and hand sanitizer 
• Accessories
  Donations of accessories, including hats, mittens, water bottles, and lunch boxes

Volunteer With Us

Make a difference in the lives of local children by volunteering at our annual Backpack Giveaway. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals, community groups, and corporate teams to help pack and distribute 4,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students in need.
