The Toronto Police Service’s Community Partnerships & Engagement Unit in partnership with The Children’s Breakfast Clubs will be hosting a special event to distribute items to students, to assist with Prom expenses. We anticipate 1000 students from our Breakfast Clubs to attend this event. Donations of prom and graduation-worthy gear will not only help these students attend their Prom and graduation, but it will also in part, empower these students to have a more positive view of themselves and strengthen their self-confidence.
Imagine walking into a large room, filled with clothing and accessories, where there are kind and welcoming volunteers ready to help you put your dream outfit together! Receiving small gifts that you can use on your special day commemorating your achievements in education all while listening to fun music and eating some yummy snacks. Wouldn’t that make any graduating student feel amazing?
Some examples of items that we are requesting are suits, dress shirts, ties, socks, dresses, heels, new make-up, hygiene products, toiletries, styling products, costume jewelry, gift cards, and gift certificates to hair and nail salons, etc.
With your support, we can change the lives of students across the GTA and ensure they have an unforgettable Graduation/Prom and an incredible ending to their elementary or high school experience. If you are interested in making an in-kind donation for this event or receiving more information about this project, please contact The Children’s Breakfast Clubs at info@breakfastclubs.ca or 416-458-7934
We hope you choose to continue the cycle of giving by participating in our event.
