The Annual Spring Food Hamper Giveaway, organized by The Ontario Food Terminal on Saturday, March 22, 2025, was a resounding success! The Children’s Breakfast Clubs was one of the organizations involved in preparing and distributing hampers. Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our amazing supporters, we were able to prepare 1050 and distribute 250 food hampers to the Children’s Breakfast Clubs families. It warms our hearts knowing that so many families will receive wholesome, nourishing meals during this important time of year.
The day kicked off bright and early at the Ontario Food Terminal. It was truly inspiring to see over 60 dedicated volunteers, filled with energy and enthusiasm, ready to make a difference. Together, we packed fresh fruits and vegetables into each hamper, pouring care and intention into every single one. People from all walks of life, including members of the Toronto Police and community leaders, joined hands, working side by side with a shared purpose. It was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together.
With the rising cost of living, putting food on the table has become a struggle for many families. By providing these hampers, we hope to ease some of that burden, allowing families to focus on what truly matters—spending quality time together and embracing the joys of the spring season. As Jen Selinsky so beautifully put it, “The promise of spring’s arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter.”
