The Children’s Breakfast Clubs made history on July 20th, 2024, with their first-ever Honda Indy Bike Ride at The Exhibition Place in Toronto! This groundbreaking event brought together 100 enthusiastic children and youth who formed teams, supported by their schools and the Toronto Police Service.
Ahead of the big day, these young participants immersed themselves in a comprehensive Healthy Lifestyle program, mastering bicycle safety and assembly skills. The highlight of the event was undeniably the chance for these young riders to experience the thrill of cycling around the iconic Honda Indy Track. After completing their exhilarating ride, each participant was thrilled to receive their very own brand-new bicycle, helmet, and team T-shirt as a well-deserved reward.
The excitement extended to the public, who eagerly joined in for an evening of cycling on the track, escorted by the Toronto Police Service and Toronto Paramedics for safety. Throughout the day, attendees soaked in the atmosphere, connecting with athletes, esteemed community leaders, and councilors, who showed unwavering support for The Children’s Breakfast Clubs. The agenda was packed with inspiring speeches, heartfelt acknowledgments, and ceremonial moments, including a spirited ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially kicked off the ride. The event’s success was a testament to the dedication of volunteers, generous sponsors, and the vibrant community spirit that fuels The Children’s Breakfast Clubs.
Special thanks go to Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto, Exhibition Place, Toronto Police Service, Toronto Paramedics, Peel Police and other local partners whose collaboration made this day truly unforgettable.
