We celebrated the After School Literacy Program on our final school term and it was a great success. Excited for our next school term to begin.

The Children’s Breakfast Clubs has been operational for 30 years during which we have developed strong relationships with the children who attend our Clubs and with their parents. We have worked to build trust within the families and the extended community not only by providing for the children in our Breakfast Clubs a hot, nutritious, culturally-reflective breakfast and a warm and welcoming environment but by organizing a number of annual educational and sporting events to give the children life experiences they would not have otherwise.

  • Improving reading and math levels
  • Developing in the children a greater sense of themselves
  • Improving the children’s ability to participate in a classroom setting
  • Enhancing the children’s ability to interact with other children on a social level

Based on the success of our pilot program at Mason Road Public School in the 2015 -2016 academic year, we are running the program once again at Mason Road during this academic year. In the 2017 -2018 academic year, we would like to offer the program both at Mason Road and at Warden Avenue Public School – both locations where we know that the children require additional assistance with their studies. The program would be offered one afternoon per week.

If you are interested in helping us fund this program, please get in touch with us. We would love to hear from you.
